Penguins end three game skid


Despite having two of the games most dynamic players, the Pittsburgh Penguins have had trouble scoring goals this season but tonight the Penguins were clicking on all cylinders. Pittsburgh was led by Miroslav Satan (1 goal – 2 assists) who had a three point night, his biggest night in a Penguins uniform. Satan the Penguins marquee free agent signee during the summer leads the Penguins with 6 goals and was reunited with Sidney for the first time since the Penguins third game of season. Talbot – Crosby – Satan were put together near the end of the team’s morning skate once Ruslan Fedotenko left practice with what is believed to be a groin injury.

Penguins to introduce third jersey


The Penguins’ will officially unveil their third jersey Wednesday, November 5 at Dick’s Sporting Goods in The Mall at Robinson. The event will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is open to the public free of charge. Players Tyler Kennedy, Kris Letang, Alex Goligoski, Paul Bissonnette and Eric Godard will be in attendence. The jersey and uniform are the same light blue color pattern that the Penguins wore in last season’s NHL Winter Classic against the Buffalo Sabres on New Year’s Day.

Penguins increase value by 26 percent


According to Forbes annual rankings the Toronto Maple Leafs have seen their value increase by 9 percent and are worth $448 million, the highest value in the entire NHL. The top 5 rounds out with the New York Rangers ($411 million), Montreal Canadiens ($334 million), followed by the Detroit Red Wings ($303 million) and the Philadelphia Flyers ($275 million).

Penguins fall to the Sharks 2-1


The Penguins were completely dominated from the onset of the game getting outshot 34-11. The bright spot for the Penguins was the performance of backup goaltender Dany Sabourin who kept the Penguins in the game making big save after big save.
