Markus Wheaton has career day in loss

While Antonio Brown was limited to 6 catches for 51 yards, MarKus Wheaton exploded with a career day, hauling in 9 catches for 201 yards and a touchdown in the Steelers 39-30 loss.

Wheaton was a nightmare for the Seahawks to defend with four-20+ yard catches, including a 69 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Wheaton also had a 41 yard reception in the second quarter that setup DeAngelo Williams’ 6 yard TD run to put the Steelers ahead 18-14.

Coming into the contest Wheaton had 16 receptions for 273 yards and 1 TD on the season and just 7 receptions for 45 yards over his previous five games.

 

Ben Roethlisberger in concussion protocol

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger threw for 456 yards in Pittsburgh’s 39-30 loss to Seattle but left the game to go through concussion protocol once the game was out of reach.

Roethlisberger took a hit to the head early in the 4th quarter but kept playing which could lead to an investigation from the NFLPA on the handling of the situation.

Roethlisberger was 36/55 for 456 yards, 1 TD/ 2 Int’s in the loss.

 

Wilson torches Steelers for 5 TD’s

Seahawks 39 – Steelers 30

Russell Wilson torched the Steelers D, throwing 5 touchdown passes in a Seahawks (6-5) 39-30 win over the Steelers (6-5).

Wilson was 21/30 for 345 yards, 5 TD/0Int and a 147.9 QB rating. Seattle won the turnover battle 4-0 in the game.
