Penguins fall to Coyotes 2-1

The Pittsburgh Penguins have dropped their first two games of the season and the goals have been tough to come by.

The Penguins scored just once tonight in a 2-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes. The Penguins were outplayed in the first two periods and out-shot by the Coyotes 39-28 in the game.

A highlight of the night for Pittsburgh was Phil Kessel scoring his first goal as a Penguin.

Kessel created a turnover in the neutral zone and blistered a snap shot past Mike Smith at 5:17 of the second period to tie the game at 1-1. The goal came 17 seconds after the Coyotes took a 1-0 lead.

The Coyotes would answer 2:12 later in what would end up being the game winning goal by Jordan Martinook on a scramble in front.
