The Pittsburgh Pirates went down quietly for the second straight post-season.

Jake Arrieta threw a complete game shutout as the Chicago Cubs advance to the divisional round with a 4-0 win over the Pirates in the NL Wildcard Game.

Arrieta in going the distance, struck out 11 and allowed 4 hits.

Kyle Schwarber hit a 2-run homer in the third inning and Dexter Fowler homered in the fifth as the Cubs and Jake Arrieta have a commanding 4-0 lead going into the sixth inning.

Fowler and Schwarber went a combined 5-6 with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs vs Cole who exited after five innings. The rest of the Cubs vs Cole, 1-14.
