Penn State was clicking on all cylinders and looked very impressive Saturday afternoon defeating the Oregon State Beavers 45 - 19. Penn State dominated the Beavers in all assets of the game. Running back Evan Royster led the Nittany Lions ground attack scoring 3 touchdowns and rushing for 141 yards on 17 carries.
Quarterback Daryll Clark was efficient and made plays with his arm and legs. Clark went 14/23 2TD’s and looked very good in his second start. Clark also rushed for 60 yards and scored a touchdown. The playmaking ability of Clark has been evident since the day he attended Penn State but what has been impressive is his passing ability. He’s not the most accurate passer but he gives his receivers an opportunity to make plays. Clark’s touchdown pass to tight end Mickey Shuler was put in a place where only Shuler could make a play on it. The coaching staff has to be floured with his play through the first two weeks of the season.
