1st round O-line prospects Iupati, Pouncey and Bulaga among Steelers upcoming visits

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be bringing in quite a few 1st round prospects over the next week for their final round visits.

The list is headlined by Texas cornerback/safety Earl Thomas who will be in Pittsburgh on Friday but the offensive line will be an area of focus for the Steelers.

Three offensive linemen 1st round prospects will in for visits this week.

Today, the Steelers have brought in Iowa offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga for an official visit.

Bulaga, 6-5, 320lbs, has quickly moved up the draft boards and is now considered the No. 2 offensive tackle on the board.

Two months ago Bulaga was linked to the Steelers at the No. 18 selection by ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper but Bulaga is now in position to be a top-10 pick.

Bulaga has drawn comparisons to Michael Oher of the Baltimore Ravens due to similar builds and both players being exceptional pass protectors.

Bulaga is a dominant pass blocker who moves very well laterally.

The Steelers have also been linked to offensive tackle Anthony Davis of Rutgers.

The Steelers though have not scheduled a visit with Davis and did not attend his private workout last Tuesday, agent Sunny Shah told me last week. The Steelers not being in attendance was somewhat surprising to Shah, who told me that 12 teams attended the workout.

Meanwhile, talk out of the Steelers organization is that upgrading the interior line is more of a priority than adding a tackle in the first round.
