A.J. Burnett likely to rejoin Pirates before end of month

A.J. Burnett is ahead of schedule in his rehab process and GM Neal Huntington indicated today that we are likely to see Burnett back with the Pirates before the end of the month. Burnett made a rehab start for the Bradenton Marauders Friday night against the St. Lucie Mets, pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run, 2 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. The right-hander threw 67 pitches, 43 for strikes and his fastball hit 94.
