Burnett (3-3, 2.57 ERA) posted yet another high strikeout game, allowing 2 hits and 2 runs in 7 innings pitched. Burnett allowed a solo home run to catcher Jesus Montero in the 7th that broke a 1-1 tie. Burnett struck out 9 and walked 4 in the loss. Burnett has struck out 8 or more batters in six of eight starts this season. the 36 year old leads the National League with 66 strikeouts.
