The AFC playoff is set with the No. 1 New England Patriots (14-2) and No. 2 Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4) earning first round byes.
In the wildcard round next weekend, No. 3 Indianapolis (10-6) will host the No. 6 New York Jets (11-5), while the No. 4 Kansas City Chiefs (10-6) will host the No. 5 Baltimore Ravens (12-4).
The New England Patriots will enter the playoffs as the favorite to win the Super Bowl.
The No. 2 Steelers can play the Colts, Chiefs or Ravens in the divisional round under different scenarios. They cannot play the No. 6 New York Jets in the divisional round.
The No. 1 Patriots can play the Chiefs, Ravens or Jets under different scenarios. They cannot play the Colts in the divisional round.
If the Colts win next weekend at home, Pittsburgh would host Indianapolis, no matter what the result of Chiefs-Ravens ends up being.
The Steelers will play next on Saturday, January 15 at 4:30 p.m, the NFL announced this evening.
