Agent for Dupuis and Rupp met with GM Ray Shero today

Agent Allan Walsh who represents pending free agent wingers Pascal Dupuis and Mike Rupp, met with GM Ray Shero today.

Dupuis, 31, who is in the final year of his deal has a cap hit of $1.4 milllion. Dupuis has expressed a strong interest in returning to Pittsburgh as has Mike Rupp.

However, discussions of “any” substance are just in the preliminary process and haven’t really took place yet, sources say. The Penguins for the time being have wanted to by their time before exploring deals for both players.

The Penguins though do want both players back, they just don’t see any rush at this point.

The Penguins have $52.325 million committed to 15 players for next season. The Penguins only have 6 forwards signed fore next season. Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, Chris Kunitz, Matt Cooke and Mark Letestu.
