Asking price needs to come if Steelers are to move on Bodden

Steelers, cornerback have exchanged proposals

The Steelers and cornerback Leigh Bodden have held discussions over the past 10 days. As of right now no visits are scheduled but Bodden is at the top of the Steelers wishlist. For the Steelers to finalize a deal with Bodden, his demands are going to have to come down a bit. Bodden has only visited the New England Patriots who went in another direction and signed Shaun Springs. Tampa, Tennessee and Denver are believed to be on Bodden’s radar.

What the Steelers may have going for them is there has been some speculation that Bodden is interested in joining a contender on a short-term deal and cashing in when there may be a no cap year.

Has exceptional speed for his size and Chad Johnson once called Bodden the toughest cornerback to go against. Bodden is an above average tackler and is viewed as a physical cornerback who jams receivers at the line of scrimmage effectively.
