We’re six days into free agency and Penguins winger Brenden Morrow is still looking for the right fit. “Pittsburgh was a good experience for Brenden,” Brad Devine the agent for Morrow told Inside Pittsburgh Sports.com.
Morrow isn’t signed because of a lack of interest. He just has sights set on joining a Cup contender and no team has fully moved on him yet.
“He wants to win a Stanley Cup so he hopes to sign with a team that has a good chance of doing that,” Devine said.
Inside Pittsburgh Sports has learned among the notable teams to have discussions with the Morrow camp since July 3rd include the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings.
Morrow has had interest in joining Detroit since the start of free agency but Morrow has been the Red Wings plan B If they are unable to finalize a deal with Dan Cleary.
