The Pittsburgh Penguins today resigned restricted free agent Brian Dumoulin to a 2 year, $1.6 million contract. The deal is a 1-way contract and has an AAV of $800,000.
The Penguins did a similar deal with Dumoulin that they did with Simon Despres last summer who as a first time restricted free agent signed a two year, $1.8 million contract.
Dumoulin who is waiver eligible for the first time this fall, as expected, got a 1-way contract.
The Penguins have $4,968,334 in cap space with four forward spots to fill a full lineup (12 forwards).
