The Florida Panthers have parted ways with forward Nathan Horton, the teams 1st round pick in 2003.
According to TSN.Ca, the Panthers today traded Horton to the Boston Bruins along with forward Gregory Campbell.
The Panthers will receive defenseman Dennis Wideman, the 15th overall pick in this year's NHL Entry Draft and another draft pick are heading to the Panthers.
The 25 year old Horton has scored 20 or more goals in each of the last five seasons. Horton has three years remaining on his deal with a cap hit $4 million per season.
Wideman, 27, has two years left on his deal with a cap hit of $3.85 million.
