Bylsma Presser Notes
*Jordan Staal’s return to the game action is still regarded as weeks away. Bylsma said he is not close enough yet to determine a target date.
Staal has been working extensively with his skating but he’s just starting getting movement in his fractured hand. The earliest he will return appears to be closer to the Winter Classic now.
*Mike Comrie’s absence has gone from day-to-day to now week-to-week. Bylsm said it will be at least a week before Comrie gets back onto the ice.

Comrie has begun more extensive rehab according to Bylsma. The team will release his injury but it’s a lower body injury.
*Dan Bylsma said this morning that Sidney Crosby is not making any adjustments to his game. Bylsma said he see’s teams trying to be more physical with Crosby but said Crosby is sticking to his system and structure.
*Bylsma again reiterated that he never lost confidence in Marc Andre Fleury during his early struggles and praised Fleury for working hard and sticking to the game plan in practice. Bylsma said it’s great to see Fleury’s smile back.
*Chris Kunitz has been a hot topic among the Toronto media. Bylsma talked about the presence Kunitz adds such as being a net front presence player and center drive type of player that compliments Crosby but Bylsma said the biggest difference in Kunitz this year is that Chris is healthy.
