nhl-ice-report CAPITALS LAND GLENCROSS
Per Darren Dreger and others, the Washington Capitals have traded for Calgary Flames winger Curtis Glencross, in-exchange for a second and third round pick.
Glencross agreed to waive his no trade clause. He has 9 goals and 28 points on the season.
Washington, currently in the top wildcard spot, has been actively seeking a top-9 winger, preferably a winger to play with Alexander Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.
While he doesn’t fit that need, the Capitals get another player to add to their forward group with size at 6-foot-1 that makes them even tougher to defend down low and in the net-front area.
