Insider Only Charlie Morton throws two shutout innings

  • Charlie Morton (hip) threw two shutout innings vs the New York Yankees in his spring debut. Morton allowed two hits, while striking out one and walking two in what is being called a “rusty” outing. Morton told reporters afterwards that he had “no pain.” Morton penciled in as Pirates No. 4 starter, had hip surgery on September 26th with a six to eight month recovery.
