RB Mewelde Moore will be reunited with offensive coordinator Bruce Arians. The Indianapolis Colts announced this afternoon that the team has signed the eight year veteran who has spent the past four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Moore, 29, had 157 rushing yards last season on 22 carries. He added 11 receptions for 104 yards and 1 touchdown. Moore’s best season with Pittsburgh came in 2008 when he rushed for 588 yards and 5 touchdowns, averaging 4.2 yards per carry as the Steelers primary third down back. Moore was a factor in the receiving game that season to with 40 catches for 320 yards.
His role became smaller with the Steelers in his final three seasons.
In his career, Moore has rushed for 2,247 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry and has 1,875 receiving yards.
