The NHL came down extremely hard on Pens forward Matt Cooke who has received a four game suspension for his hit from behind on Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin.
The suspension has been confirmed to us by Cooke's agent Pat Morris.
The Penguins are currently playing without Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Mark Letestu, Arron Asham and Chris Kunitz who did not play Tuesday night.
Cooke is a repeat offender which likely prompted the 4 game suspension.
