Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby has not been cleared to “workout” since suffering a setback on April 20, his agent tells the Post-Gazette. Indications are Crosby will have to go through at least another 4-6 weeks of moderate workouts before the Penguins medical staff would consider clearing for full speed on-ice and off-workouts again. One source believes he is months away from that type of clearance. Some talk in Penguin circles out of the exit meetings is that doctors were planning a very cautious route and he likely wouldn’t resume workouts until early June.
