SOUTHPOINTE — Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has ruled himself out of Sunday’s game vs the Boston Bruins.
In today’s practice, Crosby skated on the 5th line with Eric Tangradi and Dustin Jeffrey. He also worked the right point on the second power play unit for the second straight day.

Crosby is looking for more practice time and following Sunday’s game, Crosby will now have the opportunity to get three full practices under his belt before Thursday’s game against the New York Rangers which is viewed now as his likely return.
The Penguins riding an eight game winning streak, have climbed within four points of the Rangers for the division and conference lead.
LETANG SKATES WITH TEAM
Defenseman Kris Letang participated in his first practice since being knocked out of action against the Dallas Stars on Wednesday, February 29th.
The Penguins claim that Letang practiced with the team due to limited available ice but it was another good sign for Letang who appears to be dealing with no concussion like symptoms at this time.
Letang saw time on the left point with the second power play unit.
