Pitt Panthers power forward DeJuan Blair has been named first team All-American this afternoon by the United States Basketball Writers Association.
Blair Co-Big East Player of the Year, averaged 15.6 points per game and 12.2 rebounds per game for the 28-4 Pitt Panthers who earned their first #1 seed in school history.
No Pitt player had made the first team since Billy Knight in 1974.
