  • Despite being a seven-eighth option in being named to the team, Marc Andre Fleury won’t be declining a opportunity to participate in the all-star game and even if he did, the NHL would throw a fit. “It’s always an honor, looking forward to it,” Fleury said in an interview with Sam Kasan of the Penguins website on being named to the team. Fleury said he learned yesterday of being named to the team. “Jim Rutherford waited for me yesterday when I got to the rink and told me the news,” Fleury said. On not being named to the team initially: “Disappointed at first. Feel bad for Jimmy Howard…. Happy I get chance to go.”
