Wait on Players: Details of New NFL CBA that has been approved by owners

The NFL has voted to approve a new CBA and the ball is in the players court who tonight will hold a conference call at 8:00 p.m. Based off NFLPA re certifying (which is no lock) and players approving deal (also not a lock) here is tentative schedule from the league:

July 23: Clubs/players may begin to renegotiate contracts, sign draft picks and their own UFA's, RFA's and Franchise Players. Waivers begin for new league year, team's can begin releasing players.

July 24: Starting at 2:00 p.m., clubs may begin to sign undrafted rookie free agents

July 27: Free Agency begins, teams have to be under salary cap, rule of 51 applies. Expand rosters to 90-man limit.

July 27: Training Camps open

August 1: Clubs reduce roster from 90 to 75

August 9: Deadline for players under contract to report to their clubs to earn an accrued season for free agent

August 12: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets

September 3: Clubs reduce roster to 53

September 20: Deadline at 4:00 p.m. for any teams that designated franchise players to sign player to a multi-year contract or extension.

Ten-year deal, through the 2020 season

Players receive 48 percent of revenue in first portion of deal

$120 million salary cap; team minimum 89 percent ($106.8M) as long as league spends 99 percent ($3.8B)

Veterans earn free agency after fourth season

Four-year rookie contracts, with team option for fifth year

Lower rookie salaries with cap on team spending for rookies

Later training camps, no more full-contact or two-a-day practices

Offseason team activities (OTAs) reduced from 14 to nine
