Pittsburgh Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau was named to the 2010 Pro-football Hall of Fame today.
LeBeau played 14 seasons at cornerback for the Detroit Lions and ended his career ranked second among cornerbacks in interceptions. LeBeau has also made his mark as a defensive coordinator in the NFL but was selected due to his career as a player.
LeBeau joins two former Pitt players, offensive lineman Russ Grimm and linebacker Rickey Jackson, along with wide receiver Jerry Rice, running back Emmit Smith, defensive tackle John Randle and running back Floyd Little.
Rice and Smith were elected on their first year of eligibility.
Little and LeBeau, were elected as senior committee nominees.
