Insider Only Double-A Report: Morris improves to 3-1 on the season

The Altoona Curve routed New Britain 10-2 on Friday night. Chase d’Arnaud and Josh Harrison each tied career highs in the game while Matt Hague set a career high in RBI with four and Bryan Morris (3-1) earned his third Double-A win.

Morris lasted six innings for a second-straight start for the Altoona Curve and allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts. At one point in the game Morris retired 10 Rock Cats batters in a row. Derek Hankins pitched two scoreless innings out of the bullpen in relief of Morris, which extended his scoreless innings streak to a Curve season-high 15.1 innings. Jeff Sues worked the ninth and faced the minimum.
