In a surprise development, word I’m getting is the Penguins could be without star center Evgeni Malkin tonight vs the Florida Panthers for unknown reasons.
Malkin participated in the morning skate but is iffy for tonight and as of 30 minutes ago is being regarded as unlikely to play by the Penguins staff, according to a team source.

The Penguins take warmups in about 15 minutes.
