Farm Report: Caputi, Tangradi lead WBS to 3-1 win

Top prospects Eric Tangradi (3) and Luca Caputi each scored, Tangradi at even strength, and Caputi on the power play and Wyatt Smith added a shorthanded goal as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defeated the Adirondack Phantoms 3-1 on Saturday night at Wachovia Center.

Goaltender John Curry made 29 saves, including 20 saves in the third period, as Curry improved to 8-5-1 on the season.

Dustin Jeffrey added three assists and earned the games No. 1 star. Jeffrey has 18 assists on the year to go along with one goal.

Luca Caputi continues his strong play and has seven goals on the season, one behind Ryan Bayda for the team lead.

probably, we dont really know who will play better with who, its all about chemistry. but they will give us a ton of flexibility. and after getting rid of tenko and guerin we could maybe pick up a decent right wing to compliment them...Ales Kotalik?

They'll probably both still start the year in wilkes barre next year, which is fine.

I don't think they start in Wilkes Barre next year. If they play like they have been they will def. be up all of next year. The Pens will be losing Feds and Guerin, these two guys should be able to step right in by then. The money saved there will go to locking up Letang.

I think Tangradi starts on Crosby's line, he will take Guerin's place. Caputi, Kennedy, and Talbot all could be on Malkin's line.

Kotalik signed a long-term deal with the Rangers (3 or 4 years I forget) so we already blew that chance. You look at what he's doing there and what Afinogenov is doing in Atlanta and it just makes me sick that the Penguins didnt see them as a good fit, give me a break

kotalik got over 3 mil hes def not worth it. who care about those 2 guys they really dont seem to be the guys who would be willing to pay the price come playoff time
