He got beatup by Pavelski lastnight in a a fight. A guy 5inches smaller and 30lbs less than him beat him like a whipping boy. Thats the only bad thing i can say about Whits, he is still soff. Best of luck to him in the West though. Best of luck to Tangradi too healing up from his injury.

That fight is a terrible example to choose: Pavelski's visor saved him from the vast majority of the punches thrown by Whitney. He should've taken the helmet off if he wanted to fight. At any rate, I imagine Whitney would have come around if he had still been here after the coaching change, as he would have probably fit in well with Bylsma's system of active defensemen. Oh well, could still be a solid trade for sides, though it looks at little more advantageous to Anaheim right now with Tangradi's injury.
