Frank Cignetti jr offered Offensive Coordinator Job; Burns commits to Pitt

Dave Wannstedt has offered the Panthers vacant offensive coordinator job to Cal's Frank Cignetti jr who is the Golden Bears offensive coordinator. Cignetti jr has ties to the area as his father Frank Cignetti was the head football coach at West Virginia University from 1976 to 1979 and coached at D-II Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1986 - 2005

According to Kevin Gorman of the Tribune-Review, Wilmington's Derrick Burns (5-10, 196 lbs) has committed to the University of Pittsburgh. Burns plays fullback and inside linebacker in high school but has been recruited to play either Tailback or Outside Linebacker at Pitt.
