I have seen all the hate online of Trocheck not being a quality number 2 center, I disagree. He’s great at faceoffs, a phenomenal penalty killer, an scores between 50 an 60 points consistently. An age 28 going to be 29 an still in his prime. An the guy consistently played on a line with Jordan Staal who barely produces any offense. If Penguins can get him anywhere in the 5 million dollar range I’ll consider it a steal. Hate or love it, I definitely would welcome the change to the second line for better or worse.
With POJ becoming a regular, which is think is the intent… the Pens probably try to shed salary from the blueline tomorrow and maybe Trochek still happens even with Malkin back
