The Pittsburgh Steelers and safety Ryan Clark have a mutual interest in getting a deal done but as expected, the two sides were unable to strike long-term deal before Thursday’s deadline.
Clark officially became a free agent at 12:00 a.m.
Joel Turner, the agent for Ryan Clark told me late Thursday evening that the two sides were still talking but it’s believed the two sides were never close to getting a deal done before Thursday’s deadline.
A league source says there has been plenty of action on Clark and Turner tells me two hours into free agency that things are busy on the Clark front.
