FRIDAY’S PENGUINS BUZZ
Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma has been very consistent in sticking with his pre-planned goaltending rotation and Tomas Vokoun’s 28 save shutout vs the New York Rangers won’t “deviate” from that.
Bylsma confirmed following today’s practice that Marc Andre Fleury will be back in the net vs the New Jersey Devils tomorrow afternoon at home. In two starts at home, Fleury has posted a 5.43 GAA and .780 save percentage, compared to splits of 0.96 GAA and .966 save percentage in two road starts.
Tomas Vokoun will start Sunday vs Washington on the road.
The New Jersey Devils (3-0-3, 9 pts) come into tommorow’s game with points in all six games. Martin Brodeur will start in goal for the Devils
BOYCHUK TO MAKE DEBUT
Zach Boychuk got his first practice under his belt with the Penguins and he will be put right into a top-2 line role. Boychuk skated on a line today with Evgeni Malkin and James Neal and Boychuk will play there tomorrow afternoon vs the New Jersey Devils. The sense is Boychuk will get three to four games to showcase himself with those two, but he’s going to have make an early impression or his stay in Pittsburgh is probably going to be a short run. He’s really on a trial run here.
Where does that leave Dustin Jeffrey this weekend?

His spot in the lineup is probably going to be dictated by whether Chris Kunitz plays tomorrow and Sunday. Kunitz who is ill, sat out today’s practice due to still being under the weather. Jeffrey filled in on the top line with Sidney Crosby and Pascal Dupuis.
Due to the addition of Zach Boychuk, Eric Tangradi has fallen to 14th on the depth chart. Tangradi is waiver eligible.
