Wilkes Barre/Scranton opened training camp this morning at 10:00 a.m., inviting thirty three players to camp

Forwards: Beau Bennett, Cody Chupp, Philippe Dupuis, Benn Ferriero, Brian Gibbons, Riley Holzapfel, Tom Kuhnhackl, Denver Manderson, Jayson Megna, Michael Neal, Adam Payerl, Warren Peters, Zach Sill, Trevor Smith, Eric Tangradi, Paul Thompson, Dominik Uher, Keven Veilleux and Scott Zurevinski

Defensemen: Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres, Brian Dumoulin, Alex Grant, Reid McNeill, Joey Mormina, Joe Morrow, Dylan Reese, Philip Samuelsson, Carl Sneep and Brian Strait

Goaltenders: Patrick Killeen, Brad Thiessen and Jeff Zatkoff

Here’s my position breakdown for Wilkes Barre from September 15th.

In the OHL, Scott Harrington (TIOPS NO. 3 Ranked Prospect), Olli Maatta (TIOPS NO. 4 ranked prospect) of the London Knights face the Kitchener Rangers tonight. 2012 4th round pick Matia Marcantuoni (TIOPS No. 21 ranked prospect) is the lone Penguins prospect on the Rangers. Marcantuoni one of the fastest skaters in the Penguins system, is pointless through three games. Kitchener lost to Windsor 4-2 last night.

Goaltender Matt Murray (TIOPS No. 28 rated prospect) is also in action tonight as Sault Ste. Marie travels to Sarnia. Also playing tonight is defenseman Clark Seymour (TIOPS No. 32 ranked prospect) of Peterbourgh Petes as the Petes face Oshawa on the road. Seymour was a minus-2 in the Petes 5-1 loss to Erie on Thursday night.

In the WHL, 2012 first round pick Derrick Pouliot (TIOPS No. 5 rated prospect) and the Portland Winterhawks host Kelowna tonight, while Harrison Ruopp (TIOPS No. 33 ranked prospect) is in action tonight as the Prince Albert Raiders host Moose Jaw.
