Marc Andre Fleury made 37 saves to record his 12th shutout (1st this season) of his career and Ruslan Fedotenko scored his ninth goal of the season at 12:51 of the second period as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New Jersey Devils 1-0 Friday night. Fleury was brilliant from the drop of the of puck until the end of the game as the Penguins were outshot 37 – 18 by the Devils. The Penguins recorded their 19th win of the season and moved one point ahead of the Devils in the standings. Evgeni Malkin the NHL’s points leader had one assist, upping his points total to 59. The Penguins (19-12-4) host the Montreal Canadiens (18-9-6)Saturday night. The Penguins will be holding a morning skate tomorrow that will be optional.
