Gerrit Cole (7-2, 2.86 ERA) Altoona Curve, is no. 6, followed by Jameson Taillon (5-6, 4.05 ERA) Bradenton, at No. 15, Starling Marte (.290 - 9 HR - 50RBI) Indianapolis, at No. 36 and fast rising prospect shortstop Alen Hanson (.323 - 14 HR - 45 RBI) West Virginia Power, at No. 40.
Dylan Bundy who the Pirates gave strong consideration last season with the No. 1 overall pick, in addition to Danny Hultzen, are ranked first and fifth respectively by Baseball America.
