Enforcer Eric Godard has been officially suspended by the National Hockey League for 10 games. Godard is suspended under rule 70.1, according to John Shannon of Sportsnet.ca.
Godard will be the Penguins only suspension.
Dan Bylsma will not receive a suspension and will be able to coach tomorrow's game against the New York Rangers. Indications today pointed to Bylsma not getting suspended as league officials have regarded the Islanders as the aggressors in the melee.
The league is expected to rule on the New York Islanders at any minute. The league will be delivering multiple suspensions to the Islanders.
Matt Martin and Trevor Gillies will receive suspensions of six games or more. Zenon Konopka also had a hearing with the league and is under consideration to get suspended.
Islanders head coach Jack Capuano also met with NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell today.
