Granato expected to draw interest from Columbus
I've mentioned a few times over the past few months that there has been some league wide speculation linking Penguins assistant coach Tony Granato to Columbus.
It's been well noted for months that former head coach Ken Hitchcock was going to lose his job, it was just a matter of when.
Granato's stock has been on the rise this season and has drawn rave reviews around the league for the Penguins improvement on the penalty kill and joining the Penguins staff was a smart career move.
More and more teams are moving towards an up-tempo offensive system and the Blue Jackets are likely to follow suit.
Penguins GM Ray Shero and Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson have a lot of respect for each other and look for Granato to draw significant interest from Columbus I'm told.
Granato signed a two year deal with a team option for a third, last summer.
