Ice Hockey - Winter Olympics Day 6 - Slovakia v United States MARTIN OUT FOR TEAM USA’S TILT WITH CANADA
Team USA has been dealt with a big blow as defenseman Paul Martin will not play vs Canada and there is increasing chatter that Martin is out for tournament.

Team USA officials leaked word about an hour ago that Martin is ill and there has been a flu bug going around all Olympics. However, information has been conflicting on Martin. Martin has been seen with a cast on his hand, leading to talk of a possible hand injury. One source says he’s not ill.
Martin has been paired with Brooks Orpik during the tournament and Martin’s absence will lead to Justin Faulk making his Olympic debut.
Orpik is expected to play with John Carlson as a third pairing.
