General manager Dale Tallon is scheduled to meet with Martin Havlat’s agent Allan Walsh next week to continue negotiations for a possible long-term extensions reports the Chicago Tribune.
League sources indicate the Hawks have offered Havlat a

three to four year deal worth $4.5 million per season. The next set of negotiations are expected to center around a longer term and agents around the league are pressuring Walsh to get Havlat $5 million per season.
Health concerns have haunted Havlat throughout his career but he is a player of interest for the Penguins if he hits the open market. Allan Walsh and Ray Shero obviously have a history together as Shero signed two Walsh clients last summer in Ruslan Fedotenko and Miroslav Satan
Petr Sykora is also represented by Walsh.
