Brandon Tanev (1) scored shorthanded in OT to lift the Pittsburgh Penguins (5-2-0, 10 puts) to a 3-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche (5-0-1, 11 pts) on Wednesday night. According to NHLPR, Tanev tonight become the second player in Penguins history to score a shorthanded overtime goal. The other is some guy named Mario Lemieux who did it over 23 years ago on Jan. 22, 1996.
