The goaltending market continues to shake out with the Calgary Flames primed to make the next move.
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports Calgary and Arizona are working on a deal that will send 35 year old goaltender Mike Smith to Calgary.
Smith has two years remaining on his deal with a $5,666,667 cap hit.
The likely acquisition of Smith will take the Flames out of the market for Marc Andre Fleury.
That is why you are the Flames! Fleury is way better than Smith!!!
lol. obvioulsy the flames don’t think so. #stbleurywillbeapennextseason, #nobodywantsaclown
Or, they know that he won’t be available to them. Smith is Pan B.
smith>stbleury
You really are a fucken idiot if you believe that… Calgary just made a move that will probably keep them out of the playoffs one more year. Guys aging and it’s starting to show
At handling the puck and his ability to grow a beard maybe. But that’s where it ends. Maybe he’ll give you that D yogurt
Example of why Calgary will be a bubble team again- smith was a product of their system
