Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is officially listed as day-to-day after blocking a Marco Scandella shot in Saturday’s 3-2 preseason loss to the Buffalo Sabres. Crosby did not practice on Sunday but all signs are of him being ready to go for the season opener. “His status is encouraging,” said Mike Sullivan said.
