Cubs to sign Jason Heyward

Jason Heyward has chosen to sign with the Chicago Cubs, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times first reported today. The deal is reportedly for 8 years and in the neighborhood of $185 million. The Cubs nab the top outfielder on the market from the rival Cardinals and last week had signed John Lackey to a two year, $32 million contract away from the Cards.
