The National Hockey League has suspended Penguins center Evgeni Malkin one game for high-sticking Flyers winger Michael Raffl.
The NHL viewed Malkin’s recklessness as an “intentional stick swing” for the “purposes of retaliation.”
“This is an intentional stick swing directed at an opponent with force,” the Depart of Player Safety said in their ruling.
So was he suspended for receiving the punch to the head.<- Sarcasm The NHL is incredible. They don't have a problem with the punch just the stick…..yes Geno should be suspended but till the NHL address inconsistent officiating that's lets the original foul go on it will just be a second tier sport.
Nothing need be said. Glad it wasn’t more.
