As Matt Murray dating back to the 2017 playoffs will enter Game 2 with a 206:52 of playoff time shutout streak, Flyers coach Dave Hakstol is pressed with the decision to stick with Brian Elliott or not.

In the immediate aftermath of the Penguins 7-0 thrashing over the Flyers, Hakstol says his “first instinct” is to stick with Elliott who the Flyers signed in July to try to shore up their No. 1 goaltending position which has seemed like a yearly occurrence since Ron Hextall’s prime.
