Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has informed Bryant he will be inactive vs the Lions. Bryant told reporters he was told by the Steelers brass he will sit because of his actions on social media.

With Juju Smith-Shuster in concussion protocol, the Steelers are preparing for Eli Rogers to have a bigger role in the offense this week.

“He always works hard,” Roethlisberger said on Wednesday of Rogers who played a regular role in the offense in 2016 but has been phased out this week. “He’s worked his butt off and has continued to work hard to get out there. Enjoying seeing kind of a resurgence of him. I think we’ll see some stuff this week as well.”

Bryant will be working with the scout team all week.[/hide]
