The New York Islanders have taken a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 4-1 win in Game 3 at the PPG Paints Arena Sunday afternoon. The Penguins entered the third period of Game 3 down just 2-1 and looked like a team in the third period that had mentally given up. There was no push, no emotion from the Penguins in a dud of a performance with the Islanders putting on a clinic in period three and a Leo Komarov goal at 10:27 put an exclamation point on the game. The Penguins looked everything of a hockey club ready to make those tee times Wednesday afternoon.
Game 4 is Tuesday night.
Gonna be an interesting of season. With the lack of buy in from far too many guys this year… there will be some major changes that I have little doubt of.
This team is supposed to be better than this.
I see GMJR either being reduced in power or even getting the gold watch and “thank you”
Something else that is interesting is it is long been noted in business circles the financial model of the Pens requires to have two playoff series to have a successful financial year. They are tapped out just about in all other income streams.
We do now have the Islanders where we want them over confident. We are going to come back like they did in 75 and win series 4 games to 3. Anyone see my bottle of Jack?
I picked a bad day to stop drinking. That was a waste of an afternoon for me.
This series is going to be the ultimate test for my Wellbutrin
TO OLD AND TO SLOW
They can’t play 5v5. They rely heavily on power play in order to get their momentum going. Ahh and the fan base at PPG museum doesn’t help it either
You guys think tavares regretting leaving islanders lol
Usualy a new article comes out after few dozen days
Wow D must have wrote this during the 2nd period. Pathetic effort from a former championship team.
