The Pittsburgh Penguins today claimed forward J.S. Dea on waivers from the New Jersey Devils.

Dea had 3 goals and 2 assists with the Devils in 20 games.

This was a no-brainer move for the Penguins because they can send Dea to the minors without having to go through waivers since the Devils claimed Dea from Pittsburgh earlier this season.

Pittsburgh, though, in need of more skill on their 4th line would be smart to give Dea some looks in trying to get more speed/skill in the bottom-6.

Dea, 24, spent the previous four seasons in the Penguins organization and had a career-high 50 points in 70 AHL games last season.
