Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner has an ankle injury that is more serious than first believed.

After initially being called a contusion, Conner has an ankle sprain and is officially out vs Oakland.

“It’s an ankle sprain, much more than a contusion,” said head coach Mike Tomlin.

Conner who has starred this season in place of Le’Veon Bell, is 91 yards away from a 1,000 yard rushing season.
